Work with your group to identify WORLD CHANGING EVENTS in 20th century

In fact let's have the wheel of destiny volunteer someone to come up and lead the class in that activity!

Let's see what OTHER sorts of events we might add to the list and we'll keep track of those on the board during this unit-- while we're at it, let's get GOOGLE EARTH up on the smart board so we can view those events in context to where they happened!

Now let us go way, way back to the FIRST decade of the 20th Century: 1900 - 1910.

To put that era in context:

• Henry Ford was just starting up production of his famous "Model T" car
• The 2nd Olympic Games were held in St Louis in 1904
• WWI was getting VERY close
• Two bicycle mechanics from Ohio were the first humans to fly a controlled aircraft
